Open Play Welcome Letter

Dear Open Play Parents and Players:

We are very excited to have you join us this summer for our 2026 MAP OPEN PLAY presented by Needham Soccer Club. All sessions will take place at DeFazio Park in Needham, MA on the two turf fields..

Check In for our first session will begin at 5:40PM.

We will have coaches at the entrance if you would like to drop off your players.  Parents are also welcome to check in and take them to the field. Parents can stay to observe or return at 7:30PM when we will be completing our closing ceremonies. 

As a reminder our sessions are a developmental program designed to help improve soccer skills in a relaxed enjoyable environment. We have an amazing coaching staff of local High School and College soccer players that will be interacting with the players through fun games.  This supporting environment allows players to play with friends, classmates or form new friendships with players they may not usually play with. Our coaching staff will be encouraging players to test new skills and try new things at their own speed. Our goal is to help encourage all of the players to build confidence and enjoyment in the sport. 

When players check in, they will receive a shirt that is optional to wear. If you plan to start another night that is not a problem as we will have the shirt for you then. 

Each session we will gather shortly after 6PM for staff introductions and then break off into groups according by grade..
