TAPIN MOBILE - How To for Players to complete profile and connect with attending Coaches

Welcome to TapIn, the platform managing this weekend’s MAP Winter Showcase! You have been invited to join as an attending player. Here’s how to get started:

You should have just received an email from TapIn Sports inviting you to be an attending player. (Check your junk mail if you don’t see it.)

If you don’t have the app, clicking the invitation link in that email will prompt you to download it.

At the login screen, use the email where you received this message to create your account.

Click here for more information on how to fill out additional profile information to share details about yourself with the college coaches (scouts) and others on the platform.

At the login screen, use the email where you are receiving this message to create your account. It is important to use the same email.

Once you are in the app, look for the bell icon (notifications section) in the menu at the bottom and click it to find your invitation... accept the invitation.

You should be all set!

Four must do’s…

Find your invite email from TapinSports (from: [email protected])
- It is likely in your Junk Mail / Spam folder and looks like the entry below:

Click the link in that email to onboard
- You will be asked for some basic information (e.g. name, gender and dob)
Update your profile as shown in the illustration below
- IMPORTANT: Filling out your profile attributes, experience and education (including gradation year) will ensure everything coaches need to know about you is in the app.

Our College Showcase event will bring together elite players to play in front of dozens of college coaches!

We will be using the TapinSports platform throughout the event to help you get more exposure and to connect you directly with college coaches in attendance. Through this platform, coaches will be able to see stats and valuable information about you, and they will also be able to connect with you.

It is vitally important that you follow these instructions to make yourself accessible to coaches in attendance and even to coaches not able to attend the event. M.A.P. has already done some of this work for you by creating your basic profile, but it’s up to you to complete your profile to make yourself stand out.

1. Onboarding to the TapinSports platform:

You will receive an email from TapinSports ([email protected]) to onboard and set up your profile a few days before the event. Once you receive this email, please be sure to accept the invite to the event, and then set up your profile.

2. Complete and Edit Your Profile:

To edit your profile properties please go to the more menu in the bottom right corner,and click “My Profile” at the top. From there, click on the more menu (three dots at the top right) to manage your basic profile properties like your name and birthdate. Finally, finish by adding important information about yourself. We suggest you ensure the following items are complete, as these are things that college coaches want to know about you:

Profile photo
Height
Preferred foot
Positions (Primary and Other)

Education Entry

Be sure to include your Graduation Date as the End Date

Experience Entry

This is your opportunity to enter any recent/relevant playing experiences

Remember, a complete profile is your key to getting noticed! Coaches and scouts rely on this information to find the perfect fit for their program.

3. Find and Connect with Coaches and Scouts:

TapinSports makes connecting with college coaches easy. Here's how to do it…

Go to the M.A.P event Profile from the Quick links on your feed and click the “Scouts” tab.
Browse through profiles, and find coaches from schools that interest you. Click on the coaches name to navigate to their profile.
Click the "Connect" button on their profile to send a connection request.
Once a coach accepts your connection request, you will be able to chat directly in the app. You can continue chatting and even connecting with coaches after the event. This will store your entire chat history and help you keep track of your communications.

Remember, a proactive approach goes a long way! Don't hesitate to reach out to coaches and scouts who you think could be a good fit for you.
