Welcome to TapIn, the platform managing this weekend’s MAP Showcase! You have been invited to join as a scout. Here’s how to get started:

You should have just received an email from TapIn Sports inviting you to be a scout. (Check your junk mail if you don’t see it.)

If you don’t have the app, clicking the invitation link in that email will prompt you to download it.

At the login screen, use the email where you received this message to create your account.

Your profile should already have your school logo, but you can replace it with a photo or another logo if you prefer.

At the login screen, use the email where you are receiving this message to create your account. It is important to use the same email.

Once you are in the app, look for the bell icon (notifications section) in the menu at the bottom and click it to find your invitation... accept the invitation.

You should be all set!

Three must do’s…

Find your invite email from TapinSports (from: [email protected])
- It is likely in your Junk Mail / Spam folder and looks like the entry below:

Click the link in that email to onboard
- You will be asked for some basic information (e.g. name, gender and dob)
Add an “Experience” entry for your current position (School and Title)
- Once you have onboarded, in the app, use the Menu link at the lower right and then select the “My Profile” link at the top. In your profile you will see an + Experience section allowing you to add an Experience entry. Please fill this in for your current coaching position and school.
- It is important for you to complete this step as this is how other users (players and parents) will know what school you are from (see image at bottom)
Change your profile photo to your school logo
- Not a must, but this will make your entry in the scouts list look more professional.

Tapin Sports: How To Create A Coach/Scout and Find & connect with other coaches and players:

Hey (Coach),

We are looking forward to seeing you at the M.A.P. Winter College Prospect ID Showcase event on February 18th (19th) at Union Point Sports Complex in Weymouth. This event will bring together elite players to play in front of you and dozens of college coaches!

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS BELOW

We will be using the TapinSports platform throughout the event to help you identify players, learn about them, and connect directly with them. Through this platform, coaches will be able to see stats and valuable information about players, and they will also be able to learn about you and connect with you.

It is vitally important that you follow these instructions to make yourself accessible to players in attendance. M.A.P. has already done some of this work for you by creating your basic profile, but it’s up to you to complete your profile so your use of the system is effective.

1. Onboarding and profile completion:

To join Tapin Sports as a Coach/Scout, you'll receive an invitation via email from Tapin Sports (from [email protected]). Simply click "Accept Invitation" and you'll be redirected to install the app and sign up using your email address.
Once you have onboarded, you will need to complete your profile. This is important so that players and other coaches can find you and learn some basic info about you. To edit your profile properties, please go to the more menu in the bottom right corner, and click “My Profile” at the top. From there, click on the more menu (three dots at the top right) to manage your basic profile properties like your name (or nickname that you like players to call you). Finally finish by adding important information about yourself and your program. Players want to know about your experience!

2. Add your current position / title

This will allow players, parents and fans to identify you as the coach at a particular school.

Remember, completing this experience entry for your current coaching position will let the players know what school you coach for. Without this information only your name will appear on the scouts list.

3. Find and Connect with Other Coaches and Players:

TapinSports makes it really easy to find and connect with the players participating in the event! Here's how:

Go to the M.A.P event Profile from the Quick links on your feed and click the “Players” tab. If you are interested in a player, just click on them to go to their profile and connect.
Connect with them using the “Connect “ button and send messages. You will be able to see detailed info about each player, such as their preferred positions, graduation year, right/left foot, school and GPA, etc.
Connect with other coaches: Similarly you can find other coaches attending the event in the Scouts tab (just to the right of the players tab). Click on the coach name in the list to navigate to their profile and use the connect button to send a connection request.
